The NJYS State Certificate Course, formerly known as the F-license examines safety considerations, emergency planning, injury care and prevention, and significant coaching responsibilities of the coach responsible for players within travel programs. By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Better understand the responsibilities of coaching, including those who are may be coaching for the first time.
- Satisfy the minimum NJ State standards for duration and course material required by NJ law for volunteer coaches regarding limited immunity (N.J.S.A. 2A:62A-6).
- Satisfy the minimum Coaching Education requirements to receive a NJYS Travel Member Pass.
This course will be conducted in the following format:
- Virtual Classroom Session: Friday, March 15, 2024 (6:30PM-9:00PM)
- Written Assignment: Submission of a One-Paragraph Coaching Philosophy
- In-Person Field Session: Saturday, March 16, 2024 (9:00AM-12:00PM)
The field session will be conducted at the Turkey Brook Park facility (30 Flanders Rd, Budd Lake, NJ). To access the virtual classroom, you need to have access to a laptop, tablet, or computer. There will be no option for cell phone connection.
